The Dillard Doctrine

Urban Conservative Commentary on Politics & Life

My AAR from Winter Soldier…..

….can best be summed up by my email to the bosses at GOE:

Wish I had something meaningful to report as an AAR, but I don’t. No one was sworn to anything.

  1. I’m still waiting to hear what people wanted to hear sworn. Raising our right hands and swearing on the flag that what we speak is the truth? Ponsdorf has come up with some ideas on what constitutes “legally sworn”, but those only apply to written statements.

  2. AS,
Me personally, I’m just looking for IVAW to be held to the same standard we hold people in our justice system to. Stand up, make your statement, present yourself to be questioned.

You gotta admit, IVAW’s hearings haven’t done that.

  3. True, but I think that a large part of that has to do with logistical concerns. Something like that would be feasible perhaps at a much smaller event, with fewer speakers, but how do you select questioners, and if you only have a few speakers, why make it formal?

I myself have had questions put to me at speaking engagements, and have always been happy to answer them, so long as they didn’t fall within the realm of my service which is classified.

  4. Because if things went down they way they’re claimed, then there’s some accountability that needs to be had.

And if it didn’t happened the way it’s claimed, don’t you think that’s a bit slanderous?
