If You Don’t Have Something Smart To Say…

….don’t say anything at all:

“Attention John McCain, attention John McCain, my name is Diddy…I had to check in with you to tell you that you are bugging the f— out. I don’t even understand what planet you’re on right now.! This is the job to be the leader of the free world.

“Ok,” Diddy continues, “No disrespect. I love you. I want you to live to be 110, but things happen. What if, God forbid, you got a running mate, you become president — Alaska? Alaska? Alaska? Alaska? Come on, man. I don’t know if there’s any black people in Alaska.

“John, like, come on!” Diddy entreaties. “Sarah Palin? Yo, if you really think that we’re gonna let you win this election with these, like, crazy, these crazy decisions that you’re making, you’re buggin’. “

Wanna know what the worst thing about this is? Liberals will probably buy into this lock, stock, and barrel. I’m sure it’s making the rounds on Daily Kos as we speak.

Oh, and by the way, as of 2000 black people make up 4.46% of the population in Alaska. Not that having black people in your state is a qualification to hold office….but then again, no one really cares about qualifications….

  1. Agreed, Sean didn’t really have much to say (but he went to Howard, what did you expect, go Pirates!).

No. having blacks in your state is not a qualification, but it may be indicative of your ability to address and sensitivity to matters of diversity and the like.

    4.5%?
Let me say that another way: Less than 5 people out of every 100.
28,000 people spread out across the very large state.
    Not very diverse at all.

D.Well, as far as the diversity qualification, the Obama/Biden ticket does win: DE checks in with a 20.28% black population, and IL with 15.73%, compared with AK’s 4.5% and AZ’s 3.74% (all from the 2000 Census).

What you say would fall under “something smart to say.” Diddy was just shooting off his mouth and made a dumb comment.

I’ve always held the opinion that people should stick to what they know. Then again, at least Diddy didn’t call Palin an “irrelevant b—h.”
