Baby dolls have come a long way. They cry. They babble. They crawl.

Heck, they even pee – and poop.

Now, here comes Bebé Glotón, one of the newest to join the babes in toyland. Unlike the others, this cutie out of Spain doesn’t have its own tiny plastic bottle.

Bebé Glotón breast-feeds.

Yeah, you read that right. A doll that breastsfeeds, coming to a toy store near you…in time for the post-Labor Day Christmas displays. Just the thing to help little girls think that they’re ready to be mothers, in a country with the highest teen pregnancy rates in the world.

Makes perfect sense.

If little girls really want to know about parenthood, I suggest their parents require them to buy their doll’s clothes and other accessories with their own money. You know, actually teach some of the responsibilities that come with having children.

Just a thought. Not that I’m telling anyone how to parent or anything.

Course, maybe the company that’s making this had the sense to make a black version of the doll. Surely, the NAACP, Color of Change, and all these other organizations that claim to have black interests at heart will actually protest something meaningful, instead of just championing whatever PBO happens to be talking about that day.

Not holding my breath on that e-riot, though.

  2. Did you see the doll that STRIPS? Comes with a little pole and everything. SMH. Dolls don’t need to do much. My dolls didn’t do anything when I was little, but I still had loads of fun with them.
